Step-by-step way to test mouse buttons, scroll wheel, side buttons, and common fault signs wey fit show.
About dis tool
Dis mouse checker for browser helps you quickly know whether all main mouse functions still dey work well, without installing any software. Di page gives live response and data feedback so you fit understand your mouse condition better.
E supports left button, right button, middle button, two side buttons (B4/B5), scroll wheel up/down, and double-click fault detection.
Enter di test area
Move your mouse into di "mouse check area". Once mouse enter, di border go turn blue and status go show say testing don activate.
Test area status signs
Border color dey show current test status:
- Gray: Dey ready
- Blue: Don active
- Light Blue: Testing dey happen
- Green: Double-click detected
- Red: Fault don show
Check mouse buttons
Inside di test area, click each mouse button one by one:
Left button check
Click di left mouse button and watch whether di left button area lights up. Di count for left button suppose increase for di right panel.
Right button check
Click di right mouse button and confirm say di right button area lights up. Di right-side count suppose also increase.
Middle button check
Press di mouse wheel as middle button. Di middle area suppose light up and middle-button count suppose rise.
Check side buttons and scroll wheel
Now continue with di other mouse functions:
Scroll-wheel check
Scroll di wheel up and down. Di up and down arrows suppose flash, and both counters for scroll up and scroll down suppose increase.
Side-button check
Press di two side buttons, usually B4 and B5. Di matching area suppose light up and di correct counter suppose rise.
Note:Some side buttons fit depend on driver for full function, but basic button response should still show here.
Check double-click fault
Double-click detection na one important part of dis tool. E helps you know whether mouse micro-switch don begin age or bounce badly:
Normal double click
Double-click di left button at normal speed, around 200 to 500ms apart. If all dey okay, di area go show green and di log go record normal double click.
Faulty double click
If one single press dey often register like two very fast clicks, di tool go mark am as faulty double click. Red highlight and log entry go help you notice am.
How to read result
After you finish testing, use di right-side data panel to judge mouse condition:
Normal status
All buttons show matching press and release counts, scroll wheel responds both ways, and double-click detection stays inside normal range.
Abnormal status
Button count no rise, press and release counts no match, one scroll direction no answer, or faulty double-click count dey show too often.
Event log:Di log for bottom right records time and details of every action, so you fit review wetin happen during testing.
Common wahala and how to fix am
Wahala: Buttons no dey answer
Wet fit cause am:1) Mouse never connect well; 2) Test area never activate; 3) Physical button don spoil.
Wetin you fit do:Check USB connection, make sure mouse enter di test area, then test di same button for another app.
Wahala: Scroll wheel no dey answer
Wet fit cause am:1) Wheel encoder don wear; 2) the web page no handle wheel events well; 3) system mouse setting get issue.
Wetin you fit do:Try scroll for other pages, check whether the browser supports wheel events, and adjust your system mouse wheel settings.
Wahala: Faulty double-click dey happen too often
Wet fit cause am:Mouse micro-switch don old or contact don bad. Na common mouse hardware fault be dis.
Wetin you fit do:Clean di micro-switch area, adjust double-click speed settings, or replace di mouse if e don too bad.
Wahala: Side buttons no dey show
Wet fit cause am:1) Mouse driver fit still need install; 2) the web browser no support side-button events well; 3) side-button function don disable.
Wetin you fit do:Install official mouse driver, try another browser, and check side-button settings inside the mouse app.
