Step-by-step way to test mouse buttons, scroll wheel, side buttons, and usual double-click wahala.
About dis tool
Dis browser mouse checker helps you quickly know whether your mouse functions still dey work well, without installing any software. With visual response and live data feedback, you fit understand the real condition of the mouse better.
Di tool supports left button, right button, middle button, two side buttons (B4/B5), scroll wheel up/down, and faulty double-click detection.
Enter di test area
Move your mouse into di "Mouse check area". Once the mouse enter, di border go turn blue and the status go show say testing don activate.
Test area status signs
Border color changes dey show current test status:
- Gray: Dey ready
- Blue: Don active
- Light Blue: Testing dey happen
- Green: Double-click don show
- Red: Fault don show
Check mouse buttons
Inside di test area, click each mouse button one by one:
Left button check
Click di left mouse button and watch whether di left button area lights up. The left-side count for that button suppose rise.
Right button check
Click di right mouse button and confirm say di right button area lights up. Di matching count for the right panel suppose rise too.
Middle button check
Press the mouse wheel as middle button. The middle area suppose light up and the middle-button count suppose increase.
Check side buttons and scroll wheel
Now continue with the other mouse functions:
Scroll-wheel check
Scroll di wheel up and down. The up/down arrows suppose flash, and both scroll counters suppose increase.
Side-button check
Press the two side buttons, usually B4 and B5. The matching area suppose light up and the correct count suppose rise.
Note:Some side buttons fit need driver for full support, but basic button response still suppose show here.
Check double-click fault
Double-click detection na one important part of dis tool. E helps you know whether mouse micro-switch don begin wear out:
Normal double click
Double-click di left mouse button at normal speed, around 200-500ms apart. If everything dey okay, the button area go show green highlight and the log go record normal double click.
Faulty double click
If one single press dey often register like two extremely fast clicks, the checker go mark am as faulty double click. Red highlight and log entry go help you notice am.
How to read result
After testing, use the right-side panel to judge the mouse condition:
Normal status
All buttons show matching "Press" and "Release" counts, the wheel responds in both directions, and double-click result stays inside normal range.
Abnormal status
Some button count no rise, press/release counts no match, wheel fails in one direction, or faulty double-click keeps showing too often.
Event log:The event log at the lower-right side records time and details of every action, so you fit review wetin happen during testing.
Common wahala and how to fix am
Wahala: Buttons no dey answer
Wet fit cause am:1) Mouse no connect well; 2) Test area never activate; 3) Physical button don spoil.
Wetin you fit do:Check USB connection, make sure mouse enter the test area, then try the button for another app too.
Wahala: Scroll wheel no dey answer
Wet fit cause am:1) Wheel encoder don wear; 2) Browser no handle wheel event well; 3) System mouse settings get issue.
Wetin you fit do:Try scroll for other pages, check whether browser supports wheel events, and adjust your system mouse wheel settings.
Wahala: Faulty double-click dey happen too often
Wet fit cause am:Mouse micro-switch don age or contact don bad. Na common hardware fault be dis.
Wetin you fit do:Clean the micro-switch area, adjust double-click speed setting, or replace the mouse if the issue don too much.
Wahala: Side buttons no dey show
Wet fit cause am:1) Mouse driver fit still need install; 2) Browser no support side-button events well; 3) Side-button function don disable.
Wetin you fit do:Install official driver, try another browser, and check side-button settings inside mouse software.
